The initial consultation and treatment is $130, and follow-up visits are $90. We also offer packages for those looking to save on ongoing care. Feel free to ask us about them during your first visit!
Most people start with twice-weekly visits for a few weeks, typically consisting of 4-6 visits. Many people feel some relief early on, but lasting change requires consistency — especially if the issue has been ongoing for a while. It is normal for patients to experience some symptom relief after 1-2 treatments, although we may need more time to address the underlying root issue. We will create a treatment plan just for you and walk you through what to expect.
We do not bill insurance directly, but we’re happy to provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company. Some patients receive partial or full reimbursement, depending on their plan. We also accept most HSA and FSA cards.
Since every plan is different, we recommend calling your insurance company and asking:
-
Do you cover acupuncture from an out-of-network provider?
-
Do I need a referral or pre-authorization?
-
How many visits are covered per year?
Not really! Most people feel only a tiny pinch if anything at all. Acupuncture needles are inserted to a shallow depth and are very fine, about the width of a strand of hair. Once the needles are in, it is common to feel calm, even sleepy — many of our patients say it's their favorite part of the week.
Just give us a call, log into your Jane account, or send us an email. We kindly ask for 24 hours' notice to avoid a cancellation fee.
Using our secure patient portal, you can message your practitioner if anything comes up or if you have questions after your appointment. This portal will also house your treatment plan along with any notes or exercises.
You do not need to bring anything, but if you have recent lab work or test results that feel relevant, we would love to see them. We will review a comprehensive health history with you to ensure your treatment plan is tailored to your specific needs. You're welcome to bring headphones if you would like to listen to music, a podcast, or an audiobook during your treatment. Many patients find it enhances their relaxation — we ask that the volume stays at a peaceful level.
Loose, comfortable clothing is perfect. We often treat areas like the arms, legs, and back, so something you can roll up or pull down is helpful. It is also best to eat a light meal beforehand — not too full, but not on an empty stomach.
We commonly treat chronic pain, stress, migraines, fatigue, hormonal imbalances, sleep issues, and digestive concerns — among many other conditions. Acupuncture supports your body's natural healing process, and we're always happy to discuss whether it might be a good fit for your specific needs.
Your first appointment includes an in-depth consultation and treatment. We will take the time to understand your complete picture — physically, emotionally, and energetically — and start your care plan that day. Your first visit is expected to last approximately 60 minutes, with follow-up visits lasting around 30 minutes.
